Bio
The band start in 2018, with the help of Grégory Serrier, the first drummer of the band. Greg was looking for a classic rock band for playing a few gigs in Le Havre.
He decided to call Phil Vermont, who was a pro musician since 2000. Phil was playing/singing in a Stevie Ray Vaughan/ Jimi Hendrix cover band. He was guitarsit/singer with the country rock band Texas Line too. Phil had a lot of experience as sideman in the past, and tour in all Europe with latino rock band "La Familia", and had produced/composed two albums with the progressive metal band Superscream.
The bass player was Jean Marc Hebert, he was playing with Texas Line too.
The band start with covers of Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Santana, Dire Straits, and had a great success with those first gigs at Le Havre. Near after, the band open for Kimberose in a great place: the Magic Mirror at Le Havre.
Phil Vermont & the Electric Wizards band had a great success again, and Phil decide to start writting songs for a future album. But with because of covid pandemic, the band had to take a long break, and Gregory and Jean Marc had to leave the band....
A lot of songs had been written by Phil a this point, so he didn't wanted to stop the project. He decided called his musicians pros best friends Jean Michael Tallet (drums) and Clément Landais (bass), and the new band started to repeat the new songs. Jean Michael and Clément had a lot of experience as Professional musicians too: Jean Michael had been Neal Black'drummer for three years, and Clément had a great reputation as jazzman/sidemen.
They decided to call this new band simply "Phil Vermont".
The first gig of this new team was in 2022. Phil's new band was opening for the american bluesman Neal Black at the Soubock, Cauville. Neal had heard Phil's show, and enjoyed it, so he proposed to be the producer of his new album. Then Phil and Neal started to work together on Phil'songs.
The recording started in october 2023, and was finished in June 2024., then the band started to play in festivals, and open for Neal Black, Bernard Allison, Little Bob, ect...
Phil signed for this first album a distribution deal with Dixiefrog records company and an edition deal Music Box Publishing. Savarez Strings company proposed to endorse him too, and the band joined the rooster of 106 DBs Productions booking agency.
The album "Time Has Come" will be out the 8th of november, and the band is ready to tour!
